Recently, a lot of coverage about infanticide are have been reported in Japan.
Because of it, I think infant murders have been increasing in recent years.
But that is wrong.
The graph shows the number of infant murders in Japan.
The blue line indicates the number of murders of elementary school kids, while the red line is the number of murders of children who have not reached the age of enrolling in an elementary school.
The graph shows that infant murders are decreasing in these years.
So there is evidence that infant murders have not increased in Japan, and I think we should not accept these coverages without questioning.
