アル・ゴアのAn inconvenient truthを見ました．

内容は，一時期かなり有名になったので，みなさん知っていると思いますが．

地球温暖化の進行具合と，その悲劇，そして私たちがやるべき事を解りやすく教えてくれる内容です．

地球温暖化は，科学の進歩が及ぼす問題であり，そしてその問題は文明の発展とともに生じてきました．

しかし，私たちのようなエンジニアは，

このように世界を揺るがすような問題を解決できるのもまた，科学そのものだと信じています．

私たちが砂漠や寒冷地帯で生きることができるようになったのも，

すべて科学の力であり，それにより，私たちは私たちのフロンティアを拡大してきました．

それにより，人口を増やし，資源を食い尽くす結果になっています．

しかし，それは私達がある意味，望んでいた未来であり，

私たちがこのような問題に直面したのは，私たちが夢見た自分たちに近づいていることを示しています．

つまり，私達は，この問題を解決しなければなりません．

そして，また新しい問題に直面する必要があります．

それこそが私たち人類の性なのですから．

私たちには超えられない壁などないと信じています．

では，私達がこの問題を解決するためには，どうすればいいのでしょうか？

私は昔から思っていたのですが，以下の二つを実現すれば，もう地球温暖化の問題は解決できると思います．

1. すべての発電様式を原子力発電に
2. すべての車をハイブリット，できれば電気自動車に

これだけです．

私はこれだけを実現できれば，すべての問題は解決できると思います．

しかも，現在，これらは決して夢ではなく，

やる気になれば，かならず達成できるものです．

あとは，どれだけ変化を許容できるのか．

また，それに対する恐怖と，小さなコストを許容できるかにかかっています．

しかし，これも時間の問題なのかもしれません．

車から建設機械まで，ほとんどの乗り物がハイブリッド化しており，

私たちはクリーンなエネルギーで生活できるインフラが整いつつあります．

また，アメリカも原発を建設することを許諾し，着々と計画が進んでいます．

乗り物のハイブリット化，そして原子力発電技術

これらはすべては日本のお家芸です．

つまり，日本の技術がこの世界の大問題を解決できるということを示しています．

最近のニュースは暗いものばかりで，まるでもう日本には未来がないようなことばかリ，報道していますが，

世界の流れが環境保全の道に進めば進むほど，

また私たちがこの問題を解決しなければならないと思えば思うほど，

日本の技術は要求され，必要とされます．

私自身，日本の未来はとても明るく，そして世界中から尊敬される国になるチャンスがあると思っています．

まさに”日本の奇跡”が起こる夢を見ながら．

いろいろな意味で，この映画は理系文系問わず，すべての人に見てもらいたいです．

以下は，以前私が書いたエッセイです．

原子力発電がどれだけ地球温暖化問題に有効かを述べています．

“ Nuclear energy “ In recent times, energy issues and environment problems are very serious problems for human species on Earth. We have to solve these problems for our descendants. I think that nuclear energy is one of the most effective solutions to solve both problems. There are some solid reasons which can demonstrate my opinion.
Firstly, only technical innovation can solve both problems. Recently, Energy saving is promoted to solve both problems. I think Energy saving is important. But I think Energy saving cannot be an essential solution because human lust is boundlessness and irreversible. Human-kind is not able to get away from the current situation easily. Therefore, Energy saving cannot be a drastic solution.
Secondly, nuclear energy has the potential to totally solve both problems. On the energy issue, nuclear energy can produce enormous energy using a little fuel. Therefore, if nuclear energy is disseminated widely, the energy issue can be solved. On the environment problem, nuclear energy can produce electrical power without destruction of environment. Because of this, nuclear energy is called “clear energy”. So, if several technical issues on atomic power generation are solved, the environment problem can be solved.
Finally, remaining problems on nuclear energy can be solved by technical innovation. Some problems on nuclear energy remain. For example, handling expended fuel and control technique of atomic fusion. But these issues can be solved by technical innovation. But, an issue remains yet. That is a fear of toward nuclear energy. Especially, Japanese people have the fear since Japan is the only country that was the victim of atomic bombs. However, if all technical issues are solved, this can be solved. Because if we didn’t accept it, we would not be able to survive.
For these reasons, I can say that nuclear energy is an effective solution to solve energy issue and environment problem.
